59617 2002-07-04 00:39:00 Hi!

As some of you may be aware, the annual PCWorld readers choice awards are rolling around again .

We need your help deciding on the most important category of all - Game of the year .

For our voting form we need to choose 5 games that PCWorld subscribers can vote for .

I've come up with a short list which I think is a fair representation of the biggest/best PC games so far . . . they are (in no particular order):

Medal of Honor: Allied Assault
Dungeonsiege
Warcraft 3
Flight Sim 2002
Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast

. . . but that's just my opinion . . . keep in mind I'm trying to be fair to all genre's .

So what do you guys think? Is this fair? Am I way off the mark?

Tell me what you think should be there . We can include games released roughly since July/August last year up to the present .

Cheers
Scott Bartley

Oh and Mr Bruce Buckman . . . . Britney's Dance Beat is NOT going on the form so don't bother trying convince us about that one again .

59620 2002-07-04 01:11:00 That sounds pretty good but there are a couple that have been left out.

Solitaire and Snake :p

Also I suggest you check out a thread [url=http://forums.overclockers.co.nz/showthread.php?s=&threadid=882&perpage=15&pagenumber=1[/url] there are a couple of people after your head. ;)

59622 2002-07-04 01:15:00 Yes I did see that thread....luckily I don't use my real name on their forums huh?

Still...I stand by my comments.

59623 2002-07-04 01:41:00 just to confuse things ;-)

how about adding a small twist to it....include addons to games. there are heaps of good mods out there that people play. from the well known counterstrike to the lesser known azure sheep.

does anyone known how many new games have actually come out over the last year?

59626 2002-07-04 03:11:00 Well I've gotta vote for Ghost Recon, even though it isn't as popular as those on your list.

And I agree that add-ons should get a mention. Anyone still buying HL isn't doing it cause they want to play HL. Counter-strike - warts and all - still dominates the multiplayer world. Not bad for a free add-on.
