| 59453 | 2002-07-03 11:04:00 | I manaed to gather some guts to buy GTA III about 2 weeks ago. The install went fine and the opening screens loked awesome but then when I tried to load one of my previously saved games my system crashed and the GTA III was terminated by Windows. According to the gamnes requirements you need to have @ least 700Mhz Processor, 96MB Ram, 16MB Video card and DX 8. My system is 900Mhz CPU, 192MB Ram, 32MB (PCI) Video Card and DX 8.1 Is this a Ram problen or is it something else, according to the manual GTA III prefers 256 Ram, I slot in an extra 128 on my board (leaving me with 256 in total) Game performance didn't improve much and loading a saved game was still a problem. What could be the problem? Is it just RAM hungry or do i need to get an AGP video card? Thius is most perplexing coz the game is Kick-arse!!! HELP!!!!! |

| 59454 | 2002-07-03 12:22:00 | on the windows xp compatability site one report is: "The Program installs and works fine, but it fails to load any saved games. It reports a memory access violation. It doesnt seem that there's any way around this problem." Have a look on www.google.co.nz with your enquiry, it will give a huge number of hits... |
