NZSTAN,
Are you telling us that you need a to use your comp as a floor heater even in AK?
Some of the others from your country have been trying to tell us Mainlanders that it isn't even cold up there! Perhaps they are praticing for a job as computer salepeople in chain stores .

Stan reply - I'm originally from a tropical country where we have year round supply of papaya (you call them pawpaw . . . gawd!!!), pineapples and mangoes . The comp is a nice heater during winter but makes my feet sweat during summer .

59518 2002-07-05 03:14:00 Or better still, down a bottle of whisky and you won't feel a thing :) nzStan (440)
59519 2002-07-05 05:59:00 robsonde --- there's always one like you on a serious forum who spoils things by giving a practical, rational, response. ]:) Graham L (2)

Now the responses have slowed down and I have had time to assimilate all relevant information, it is my duty to regretfully inform one and all, the air coming from my computer case appears to be causing no problem after all. :( Sorry.

The necessity to answer a call of nature lead me to a discovery that is my moral responsibility to bring to the attention of all fellow computer users.

Circulation Isolation

Yes. Loss of circulation.

After many hours studying circulation with a hematologist at the public hospital, we have found a new and rare form of OOS. (Occupational Overuse Syndrome) This particular form of OOS is particularly relevant in computer users who sit for long periods of time with their feet crossed at the ankles. Apparently, the pressure of one ankle on top of the other, reduces the blood flow around the lower body causing a pins and needles sensation and lowering the temperature of the affected areas.

To avoid any future sensations in your lower body that may cause an unfamiliar feeling, please remember to get up and stretch your legs occasionally.

Thank you all for your concern and meaningful tips. It has been very heart warming to see fellow members gathering around to support one who was suffering. I have a printout of all the ideas submitted should they be required.

Once again, thank you one and all. :x
