59758 2002-07-04 06:46:00 If we wanted to change our graphics card, what is recommended to play most games.

We have one that can't play Quake III, Arena.

Can't seem to sort out the open GL stuff etc.

So if we purchased a replacement;

a. what do we buy?

b. can mum install it? (installed the cd writer)

c. wanna play games, but nothing ott.

Thanks.

59759 2002-07-04 07:07:00 First you need to find out if your motherboard has an AGP slot, if it does then I would recommend you buy a GeForce 64MB mx400. This is not the newest card out but still a good graphics card (make sure you buy the AGP version).

You could probably install it yourself, but if you don't feel confident I would recommend you take it into a shop (get some opinions on different shops in your area before you do this).

59760 2002-07-04 08:55:00 a geforce 2 mx 400 would be ok but it would be wise to post some details of your system cause it may not work. tweak'e (174)
