60109 2002-07-05 11:50:00 Just reading LAST WORD in PCWORLD July 2002 and am intrigued by the mysterious tip to get Win XP computers to see each other. I am a PC tech in Tauranga and have just that issue on 2 networks correctly configured in separate businesses. In both situations with 3 PCs on a peer to peer using a hub, computer 2 can see and be seen by both 1 and 2, but 1 and 2 can't see each other. I have tried automatically assign IP addresses, and also set IP manually but can't resolve it. Maybe your tip is just the thing I need. Pass on my congratulations for a great mag to which I have been subscribed since issue 2. Regards, Ken koojee (878)
60110 2002-07-05 11:57:00 can you ping the ip's, could just be a config problem, not much info to go on sry. havn't read the mag yet. i have had that alot with internet connection sharing or sharing files/folders on other o/s.

couple of things to check or try would be to change the workgroup name and then change it back, worked most of the time.

bit late lol, not fully thinking straight hope this makes sense
