| 60105 | 2002-07-05 11:43:00 | Is there any info on "backing up" on Windows XP? Have been talking to Godfather & got a fair idea of how it all works. Need to know specifically for XP to External HDD. Surely every Windows Programme has one? I just have't found mine yet. Poppa John ?:| | Poppa John (284) | ||
| 60106 | 2002-07-05 12:03:00 | As of my understanding XP doesn't install it's backup feature during the initial setup. To install it have a look at this site Installing the backup feature of XP (support.microsoft.com) and also this one How to use XP's backup feature (support.microsoft.com) | Sam H (525) | ||

As an alternative, I highly recommend the freeware program "Replicator" that can be found at www.karenware.com or www.karenware.com/powertools/powertools.asp It is one of a number of useful utilities written by Karen Kenworthy.
