| 60087 | 2002-07-05 09:28:00 | After my computer has been in operation for an hour or so, each time I attempt to receive/send an e-mail the computer goes through a reset and will continue to do so. The cure is to shut down for a while and then reboot. E-mail system then works OK CPU is running at 1440 & not overclocked Running windows 98 and I.E. 6 Do I need a new fan/heatsink or is there another reason for the problem? Bill Munden |

| 60088 | 2002-07-05 10:56:00 | Is ir happening only when your modem tries to go on-line in that case, or are you on ADSL or cable? | godfather (25) | ||
| 60089 | 2002-07-05 10:59:00 | If you use a torch, can you see the power supply fan start up? Are you able to open the PC and see if the fan on the CPU is turning? Does the problem happen when you don't check for e-mail? The heat sink is unlikely to be a problem unless it has fallen off and so long as the fans are turning, they should be OK as well. |

Same symptoms but diff problem, only happens when i'm Palying online or i have a power brownout Maybe it could shed some light on what to look for |
