I really want an Xbox and am trying to convince mum that they are good. Any tips on how to convince her ?

60063 2002-07-05 08:58:00 Why on earth do you want one of those? I mean really. You already have a pc don't you?

Maybe its just me - I don't buy junk :)

60064 2002-07-05 11:40:00 Why do you have to convince your poor mum that you have to have this thing?

Why don't you just go and get a weekend job and earn the money yourself to buy it? Who knows, your mum might even help you out with the cost.

Failing that, Christmas is only a bit over five months away.

You got it, mate! 'Tis the schoolies and man, the purse is getting a thrashing and there's still a week left to go... :O

Not PS1s or PS2s or even Xboxes - it's an expensive piece of plywood on four tiny little wheels....

60068 2002-07-06 03:49:00 Come on, Susan, you better than to not post the details: how much ram, what OS, what error messages you get when the bit of plywood (or its driver) falls over.

"Muuuuum!!!" is not good enough.

60069 2002-07-06 13:03:00 I agree with Susan.......

When I was a kid, I used to get up at 5am each morning and do a milk run. My parents taught me that if I wanted anything bigish, I had to contribute towards the purchase.......
