60031 2002-07-05 02:48:00 I`m running Windows 98SE and every now and then after the computer has gone through its thing of starting up I get a blue screen with a message that something has happened at "0028:C163617A - Click any key.........." When I do that the computer finishes off the startup and all seems well.

Is this something to worry about. It doesn`t happen that often and I haven`t usually done anything different when I`ve shut down. No doubt the numbers mean something, but what?

Still wet and miserable in the Heart of Kiwifruit Land.

Regards, Iris

60032 2002-07-05 06:37:00 Hi Iris,

When I get messages like that, I either go to the Microsoft Help, or bring up Google and type the message in, to see if there is any info on it

Sorry I can't be of more help. but you find what you need to know at either of the above......

Regards, BALDY :-)

P/S: Its cold and wet down here as well in Baldsville

Am compiling myself a list of all the "help" places there are to go to . Didn`t realise you could use Google for things like that . Have learned somthing else again today .

Better than 'regular' Google, goto 'groups.google' (http://groups.google.com). You can get there by clicking the 'groups' button on the google search page. This allows you to search all the discussion / news groups via a web based search engine.
