59991 2002-07-05 00:41:00 I wish to transfer files from my laptop to my desktop. The laptop has windows 95 the desktop has XP home edition. Is it possible to use my USB connection cable from my printer to transfer files between my laptop and deskop? If it is can some one please tell me how to and if it isn't can you tell me what i need to do this.

59992 2002-07-05 00:56:00 I have used a USB Crossover cable to transfer data between PC's. Most of the cables you buy come with software as well and arent too expensive. Dicks Smiths etc will have these. parry (27)

59994 2002-07-05 01:47:00 You can use a USB cable for a PC - to - PC connectoin, but I doubt your printer one would work. You would be better off buying a USB crossover cable to do the job.

59995 2002-07-05 06:08:00 The USB crossover cables work brilliantly - I even used to use one between my Apple G3 PowerBook and Windows box. The software for both platforms is on the CD. Cheap too.
