| 59837 | 2002-07-04 09:36:00 | For some reason my Win XP Pro Control Panel will not display Install/Uninstall Programmes (amongst other missing applets). To uninstall a programme I have to go through the Help screens to Uninstall and click on the shortcut from there. How can I get Control Panel to show all applets? Harry |

Ticking the box to load appwiz.cpl should load the add / remove programs applet on next reboot. I am sure you could probably do this by making an entry in the registry but I am not sure where. Another shortcut to going through the help system would be to create a shortcut on your desktop or start menu which pointed to c:\window\system\appwiz.cpl (this path will be slighly different under Win XP). |
