| 60257 | 2002-07-06 06:55:00 | Reading some of the queries lately made me check up on ScanReg. Usually when I`ve checked have had a message to say "backup has been done today do I want to do another one" This time I got a message to say "No errors found, Backup hasn`t been done today do you want to do one" This was always done automatically, so something I have done in the last three days has altered this. How do I reset the automatic backup. I am using Windows 98SE Iris |

| 60258 | 2002-07-06 07:48:00 | Hi Iris Go to Start/run, type msconfig and press enter. Select the startup pane and check that the top box (scanreg) is checked. It will require a reboot to get things going if the check was missing. Scanreg will only backup the registry from the first cold boot in any day so if you don't turn your computer off each night you won't necessarily have up to date registry copies. I use win98 original but SE should be the same. Cheers Billy 8-{) |
