| 60776 | 2002-07-08 05:47:00 | I am asking a lot of questions about Dual Booting, I know, but I need to be sure what to do. I am run Windows XP Pro. now and do I have to uninstall it and THEN put Windows 98 on C:\ and then reinstall XP again? And if I have to uninstall XP, is there any way of saving the configurations I have made (user setting, personal settings) and then after install XP Pro again, reentering them into XP? |

Go Start / All Programs / Accessories / System Tools / Files and Settings Transfer Wizard You have the "old computer". Floppies are not recommended for this, but you can use CD-R, CD-RW, Zip disk ... When you do the new installation, you can go through the same chain and be the "new computer". Looks as if it's a good thing. Wonder if it works ;-) |
