60608 2002-07-07 18:18:00 One of my students picked up a virus (worm yaha E) which prevented her machine booting. I booted off the XP CD reloading windows as the repair option just hung up. I cannot however access her documents and settings. The folders are visible through explorer, with the files visible through the 'file and setting transfer wizard'. After having run the wizard her desktop settings are still not active and consequently her work files still inaccessible. Any ideas? Philatrua (912)
60609 2002-07-08 08:30:00 I believe the virus has been wiped out of the pc? I'm not really understanding your situation, but I may have some ideas for workaround.

Since the folders are visible, try to zip the hold folder into 1 file and copy that zip file to somewhere else in real-mode DOS.
OR you could just try to access the folder in real-mode DOS and see if its possible.
