| 60841 | 2002-07-08 21:41:00 | I'm using Win XP Home and occasionally when I go to close the Norton AV system status screen it doesn't close and I have to use the task manager and End Now function. Is this a known problem that there is a patch for or what? |

| 60844 | 2002-07-10 08:36:00 | when u say occasioanlly u mean that it works most of the time, it might have to do with ur mouse or keyboard, wot type of conection do they have? i also read that a virus can also induce this effect, sorry i can't help any more. cheers, v.K--------- ;) |

| 60845 | 2002-07-10 08:47:00 | I tried reinstalling it with no luck. It happens probably about 1/3 of the time, not really a big issue since I hardly ever open the anti virus control panel but just something I would like to get fixed if possible. Any body out there know? |

| 60846 | 2002-07-10 09:03:00 | it might also have to do with howmuch ur using ur systems resources, because programs can hang due to over useage of resources. try to run little as possible as u can when u open norton, or just typen in msconfig in the "run" box to choose wot runs when u start up ur pc. hope that helped cheers, v.K--------- ;) |

Reason being they were supposedly not compatible - we got 2001 with our new puter and had that prob and later found supposedly they weren't compatible - I mean nav wasn't with xp. There was a patch on the windows update i remember - but we just went on to nav 2002. Hope that may help! I was just thinking of you in regard to another ME prob, i am sure you are the one that advises/helps me with my rellies ME probs! Or am i thinking of Sam M??? Maybe cause you are using xp !! :-) |
