| 61050 | 2002-07-09 11:18:00 | i had to format my disk for some reasons i have 2 hard disks on my pc first one which iis 10 gb and second one which is 4bg i had win2000 installed on 10 gb hard disk i formated that . after formatting and when every thing was installed i looked up ,properties of my 4 gb the second hard disk ,it was only 1.99 gb why is like that? it has no partition on it |

| 61051 | 2002-07-09 11:36:00 | did u have to format because of an error on the 4gb hdd or was it just necesary to reformat, i am assuming the win 2k cd also act as a boot up disk and i am also assuming that if u have 2 hdds wont each one act a one partition so it is kind of pointless to reformat one hdd and leave the other as it is. reformat the second drive ( if possible) and see if that works, if not give us a yell. and remember i am only assuming. assumptions don't get very far. v.K |

| 61053 | 2002-07-09 12:18:00 | that's fine, by the way does win2k offer fat32 and ntfs file system, cos there might be an error that's re-occurring from one of the file system types. once again i am assuming (might change my name to the assumer) get back to me again and describe in full, sorry for all the assumptions. :D cheers, v.K |

| 61055 | 2002-07-10 03:32:00 | wot ur sayin know doesn't make sense ?:| u said that u did nothin to the second drive which is 4gb, and was there anything on that drive before u formatted the 10gb, therefore u simply have to refomat the 4gb by wot ur saying, do u want the 4gb hdd to show 4gb then u have to reformat that, does win2k show any files on the 4gb hdd, if so there's ur problem. if not maybe win 2k cannot read from the second drive, simply reformat that if u want back 4gb hdd cheers, v.K----------:D |
