1305849 2012-10-08 21:11:00 Hi,all.

Over the last week I have not been able to pay any accounts online, as I have done for years. My chequebook is gathering mould :banana

I rang the bank again this morning and the problem was not fixed after a similar call yesterday. While the operator waited I went out of FF and started Internet Explorer------and it worked.

What can I do to correct this fault as FF is my default provider.

I assume that an update is conflicting,as happens with FF updates at times

1305850 2012-10-08 21:13:00 So, what does IE do that FF doesnt do?? Is FF crashing or something? Is FF 15.01 installed? Speedy Gonzales (78)

1305852 2012-10-08 21:51:00 Hi,

No Speedy the program works perfectly- I have no issues with it- bar this banking

No De Sade- I am used to FF all I want is why?---I am assuming an update is conflicting- I will look at FF v15.1-although I suspect I already have that

1305853 2012-10-08 22:00:00 Hi again,

Have just done a Google--and v15.1 is causing pain --so what can be done about it?

1305854 2012-10-08 22:20:00 You could use an IE addon for Firefox in the interim which will enable Firefox to load pages in IE.

I've had some problems with version 15.0.1, the IE addon I was using became incompatible and a favourite site didn't like Firefox all of a sudden.

I'm using Fire IE addon at the moment, it seems to work ok. addons.mozilla.org

1305855 2012-10-08 22:20:00 Uninstall then reinstall it. Or use another browser. Not much else you can do Speedy Gonzales (78)
1305856 2012-10-08 22:30:00 Hi Speedy,

Right on---as always

I uninsatalled FF -had v15 and v15.1 in downloads-but I could not reset up v15.1 without deleting v15 and therefore lost my favourites--no matter-- I am now able to bank online

It does appear several others have had identical problems--anyway thank you all

1305857 2012-10-08 22:57:00 You can uninstall older versions and keep the prefs etc. And install a later version. So, you dont lose the favs / bookmarks etc Speedy Gonzales (78)
1305858 2012-10-08 23:05:00 Do a search for bookmarks.html and the copy the old one over the new one when FF isn't running. mikebartnz (21)
