Well, it's actually the system itself, but that would have been too long to explain in the title. :)
My Kenwood min-system, at least 15 years old, is having difficulty responding to the remote commands. I know it is not the remote itself, as the same thing happens both with the remote for the device and my universal remote. I've tried both of them with new batteries. What seems to be happening is that it will only respond when the remote is very close to the unit. Do the receivers on these things fail? If they do, is this one likely to be repairable at a reasonable price? |
