Between the "specials" they run frequently, and our log burner for heat & water, we save quite a bit on what we would pay with a fixed LC.

Also, powershop is not available everywhere, so presumably that is to do with them being able to strile a deal with the local line company in each area.

It is two very seperate Bills we get here One says The Lines Company the other comes from the retailer

We certainly do not use more than the average user! We have Gas Cooker and Wetback in use during the winter and did qualify as Low Users! In fact we still do to the retailer Meridian! However the scum of the earth TLC have told us the location we are in is exempt from being a low user tariff and has been for the last seven years. Its total bolloxs!

The other thing to point out again is the Lines Company (that there name) calculate the load from your highest 6, 2 hour periods during the winter when they are load controlling. Basically it takes just one day during the winter eg a party/guests who dont like the cold and crank up the electric heaters, blankets etc and you get screwed for the year. Thats how unfair TLC pricing is on the Lines Bill. Yet during the summer I could run a 10kwh mig welder or somethinbg and make no differance to the Lines Bill. Yes crazy!!!!

Absolutely :)

Hear the Gattung woman saying how they used confusion as a marketing tool to keep prices up, and how that was a fine thing to do, and also see the spoof Telecon advert here: www.box.com (10MB .avi download)

She must be related to John Anderson then because his Lines company has the most difficult and complex lines billing system in the country that most here could never understand, no insults to anyone because most of the Lines Company customers dont understand the billing.
