1281880 2012-06-16 10:44:00 In general, if you see a North Shore car indicating a turn, it is undergoing a warrant of fitness check.

And if you're driving in West Auckland, nobody uses indicators. Don't think body language is going to help either. All that conveys is p*** off, Westies demand - and get - right of way here.

I will only indicate on a roundabout if I am not changing direction - if I am going straight through I refuse to indicate.

Fine me.

Why do you believe your entry point has any bearing on indicating your intention to exit the round-about?...What direction you came from is entirely irrelevant No one else can be expected to know, And even if they did, they still couldn't make any assumption of your intended exit point if you refuse to communicate your intentions.

I would have expected better.

1281884 2012-06-16 15:47:00 What I deplore is the lack of a motorway from Nelson to Christchurch

The South Island is paradise for that very reason, Those roads are stunning.

1281885 2012-06-16 19:57:00 If when entering a roundabout and I am turning left I indicate left. If I am going straight through I indicate left when leaving. If I am turning right I indicate right then left when leaving. Bobh (5192)

1281887 2012-06-16 20:56:00 I wouldn't even ride a bike through a roundabout. I would hop off and walk across.

Your reply doesn't hold water :(
