1306350 2012-10-20 21:46:00 Oh brilliant I just cant catch a break with this 'lovely' laptop.
Now there is a smart error for reallocated sector count.

1306351 2012-10-20 23:47:00 Think that proves the dying HDD conjecture. :)

You should be able to buy the recovery discs from Toshiba, if you/she didnt make them from the recovery partition.

1306352 2012-10-20 23:53:00 Im going to burn the recovery disks soon and then suggest to my friend that she purchases a new hdd just to be on the safe side. nedkelly (9059)
1306353 2012-10-21 00:03:00 And it wont boot my USB iso for Windows 7 either. If this is still an ISO file, it will not boot from that, you need to burn that file first to use it; and have you set the bios to boot from USB? feersumendjinn (64)

Meaning this in the nicest way, but I am not an idiot, I burnt the file to usb but this machine would not boot it.
I set usb as the first in the boot order, but did not work.

1306355 2012-10-21 00:39:00 Sorry, I'm sure. Didn't mean to offend you, lots of people don't realise you need to do those things, just asking (and trying to help :)). feersumendjinn (64)
