1281850 2012-06-16 01:44:00 I say we teach them the give way rules properly first. So many idiots *still* don't know when to give way and when to go at intersections, it's crazy! Chilling_Silence (9)
1281851 2012-06-16 01:47:00 ?? Please explain in English
When you signal you are about to turn off, other cars can now go that couldn't if you were not turning off.

1281852 2012-06-16 01:58:00 opposite. means if u go straight head and indicate left to exit the car in front of you who is looking at you know that you are taking that exit and they can then go straight ahead or make a left turn without waiting for you. in theory though when i am driving i wait for cars to completely finish off before i move just in case. Even if they indicated. But i don't drive often prefer the bus like larger cities just need to time mgmt myself. Those that go over white line, dont give way, tailgate, speed, change lanes late. And now with those roundabout where its quite flat so they just drive over instead rather than change down a gear i read on news at carterton death but most are auto gears right ..... Sent from my nokia bit difficult three inch screen. Nomad (952)
1281853 2012-06-16 02:19:00 I indicate left when leaving a roundabout. It can be frustrating when you see drivers indicate right and then make a left turn to leave the roundabout. This causes other drivers to unnecessarily stop before entering the roundabout as they are expecting the right indicating driver to cross in front of them. Bobh (5192)
1281854 2012-06-16 02:25:00 When you enter a roundabout and are going strait through, you don't indicate right then left as you exit, but you only indicate left when you exit. If you are not going strait through but pass the strait through exit you indicate right as you enter and continue to do so until after you pass that exit then indicate left for the next exit if that is the one you want to exit from. Hope that is clear.
:)

Did that. Don't do it any more after being hit by a clown who said "I thought you were going left bro" Now on these large round abouts I put my rite indicator on until I get to the middle and then the left one to exit.

1281855 2012-06-16 02:30:00 I also hate people who insist on driving around the outside when there are 2 lanes, if you're turning right get in the middle lane.
I made the mistake of entering the inner lane of a five lane roundabout when going three quarters of the way around and almost ended up in an endless loop.

1281856 2012-06-16 02:34:00 I reckon the police would make millions fining people for incorrect useage of indicators at roundabouts.
:)
