| 1306210 | 2012-10-10 05:40:00 | Hi, I have the Nokia Lumia 800 Can I recieve Wifi internet and then "Internet Share" it to 2 Laptops? Reason why is that I am at a motel & I'm wanting to use my phone to allow 2 laptops to access the 1 internet connection. Only 1 Device may access the connection Or is it only able to Internet Share Mobile Data? Thanks Daniel |

| 1306211 | 2012-10-10 06:34:00 | I got a reply from the nokia people Hi DanielDrache, "Welcome to Nokia Support Discussions! Nokia Lumia internet sharing feature can only share the mobile data access, so it is not possible to use the phone as a mobile WiFi switch. One option you have in this case is to share the internet connection from laptop to laptop using an ethernet cable. Please see here for an example (it is for Windows Vista, but the idea remains the same), please refer to your laptop OS manual (or help files) for more info. " |

Otherwise, update your phone: there may just be a Nokia update that enables this. But no, you cannot use it as a general WiFi router. |
