| 1305999 | 2012-10-09 07:52:00 | Recently got given a FX 3450 graphics card. Works fine but the fan is really noisy. I had a look on overclockers but don't fancy spending in the vicinity of $150 for a cooling solution Does anyone have a fan for this, or can you suggest an after-market fan I can use on this? |

You may have to consider DIYing a fan into it, but most of those cards have some unusual shroud/fan setups, so depends how confident you are with possibly re-drilling mounting holes etc. Could consider putting a slot cooler right next to it? | 1306002 | 2012-10-09 17:59:00 | Thank you These posts gave me an idea so I checked out a Zalman heatsink fan I had running on a FX5500 PCI card. Unfortunately there are only 2 screws with the Zalman, but a fresh layer of Arctic Silver and there seems to be a good connection between heatsink and GPU Cheers (didn't even need to redrill holes, the heatsink had a heap of pre-drilled holes on the heatsink) :) |
