| 1282222 | 2012-06-17 07:31:00 | Hello, My contract with Vodafone has expired with my home phone and vodum stick internet and wanting to know what other good providers are available. Vodafone have offered me wireless 60GB for $65 per mth and from what I have searched is a good deal but is the data enough and is ther server fast enough?? We are wanting to used the online network with PS3 gaming so will need data for a moderate user of these games along with standard web surfing. I have looked at compare websites and they talk about all the techy stuff but im not that cluded on about the details. Anyone have any suggestions? |

| 1282229 | 2012-06-17 18:56:00 | 2degrees is easily the cheapest, 12GB for $99 and 6 months to use it | nmercer (3899) | ||
| 1282230 | 2012-06-17 21:16:00 | I noticed that too. There's no way gaming over a 3G Data stick will work. By "wireless" I believe you're getting a little confused between "3G Broadband" using cellular data networks, or "Naked Broadband" which is broadband over your physical phone line, but there's no dialtone and "phone" service attached to it. Still goes over your regular copper cable to your home though. IF you have a Vodafone OnAccount mobile, then as mentioned they do some pretty sweet deals. Otherwise, try checking out Orcon with their Genius plans. They're well priced and the service isn't too bad from customer services, not to mention their speeds / reliability are overall quite decent. That, and the way they've gone about the whole "remote provisioning" of the Genius router is pretty choice! :D Welcome to the forums :) |

I am now looking to get broardband that is wireless (no more stick). The 60GB for $65 deal is for a wireless router thingy i think, of which we could use on the tv and PS3 network and yes I have a mobile with vodafone to get that deal. Just needing to know if the 60GB will be enough for us as a moderate user for mostly weekend play or if anyone knows of a better provider or a better deal? We have no landline. Again thanks for all you help with this. |
