61098 2002-07-09 14:23:00 That might be a stupid question but I am really struggling to buy some cheap network cards. That can be either ISA or PCI, either 10mb or 100mb, as long as they work. And cheap, of course--I couldn't afford buying a $2 card from trademe and pay $5 for the post from Wellington.
Currently living in Auckland. Would be really appreciated if some body got spare ones and would like to sell them.
Cheers!

61099 2002-07-09 16:42:00 what do you call cheap? do you mean free? $7 sounds pretty cheap to me.

ISA ones must be just about freely available from companies that have upgraded and new pcs have built-in or PCI only.

StylesPC (http://www.stylespc.com) has reatek ones at $18 with free delivery at the moment.

61101 2002-07-10 01:10:00 I can't tell you how many hundred of old ISA NIC I've thrown out over the years from junked 486s. But one thing I do know we hoarded quite a few in the storeroom.

My suggestion is contact the IT department of large companies and offer them a box of beer for their old NICs.
