61194 2002-07-10 01:24:00 I have tried to install Kai's Power tools 1.0 that came with a Micrografx Designer Power Pack disk. The other programs on the disk installed OK.
I get a message that says I have insufficient disk space.
Required disk space is 7.8 MB and it shows free space on the message as 1,023.9 MB.
I have tried installing it on a Windows 2000 system with 40 GB drive and a Windows 98 system with 20 GB drive.

It seems the program (1993) does not recognize large drives.

Is there a way around this?

61195 2002-07-10 03:58:00 This is probably going to be possible, but a bit messy. If you can make a partition less than 2 GB, you ought to be able to install on that. (I'd be conservative and make it less than 500 MB). Disks have become so big so quickly that the arithmetic hasn't kept up. So I would guess that the installer could cope with about a GB of free space. Anything more will be truncated: from your "1023.9 MB" it might believe that you have 2.9 MB --- hence it won't install.

Just don't use FDISK to make the new partition. ranish, parted or one of the commercial partitioners will do it without destroying your system.
