61695 2002-07-11 10:39:00 Do I need a video capture card to view my VHS tapes on my PC or do I just need to get a cable to join the two units? dhooper (988)
61696 2002-07-11 11:06:00 do u want to use ur computer screen as a tv or do u want to actually transfer ur vhs tape to computer? if you want to transfer it to computer then u would need a video capture card,if u just want to play them using the computer screen u will still need a video capture card, one that has a tv/video in port, so u can connect ur vcr to the computer with the normal video cable that would work with ur tv and vcr.
hope that helped.

cheers,

dhooper,

I've never tried this, but a TV tuner card might work - you might be able to tune it in to your VCR signal. I have a feeling that a TV tuner card might just be cheaper than a video capture card. Worth looking into anyway.

I have a FlyVideo 98 card that has, its designed for Windows 98 (and it works under XP, using the NT drivers)

A 667MHz PIII will not do full screen.
