61577 2002-07-11 06:43:00 Just thought you ought to know that a lot of very clever people did a lot of thinking and experimenting before the Internet reached its present state of perfection. (Ahem)

Like us, while they were working hard, they also enjoyed themselves. Hidden among the RFCs (Requests for Comment) which are the standards of the Internet are a few which document ideas which did not work as well as hoped. There are also a few which were just for fun.

The format for an RFC is laid down (in an RFC of course), so ...
