I personally use Slingshot, but, I live in Chch. I find them very good. Always connect first time, good speed, never get kicked. But ... It appears to be only a good service if you live in a main centre. Not Porirua, New Plymouth etc. |

Up until recently, I wouldn't have faulted them - first time connect, no matter what time of day, and either a 52K or 49.6K connection speed. However, since Telstra got into bed with Clear, I have noticed some adverse changes, especially around connection speeds. I now regularly get 33K and also, once, a 4K speed(!!!). It seems they may have some archaic modems still connected to their network that you can be stepped down to if they are busy. But a disconnect and redial usually brings me back to an acceptable connection speed... | John Carter (979) | ||
