| 61781 | 2002-07-12 00:37:00 | NSW has been playing up on me a bit lately, and I want to do a clean reinstall . What is the best way to to do a complete uninstall . Is there a program that does a better job than the windows program uninstaller? Or will the windows option do a good enough job? Thanks |

After the unistall is complete check the programs folder and delete any files that may have been left behind such as symantec shared folder, liveupdate, NSW folder, etc . If you are still concerned about components left behind you could search the registry for entries (look for norton or system works, etc) . Probably not worth do this if you are planning on reinstalling as the instaler should replace these entries if they are corrupt . |

C:\WINDOWS\Application Data\Symantec C:\WINDOWS\All Users\Application Data\Symantec C:\Program Files\Symantec C:\Program Files\Norton SystemWorks |
