62272 2002-07-13 23:52:00 How do I change the default view settings for folders in windows xp (home). I would much prefer the good old 'icon' then the larger 'tile' and am sick changing the same folders back to the icon setting. Thanks. Orien (1020)
62273 2002-07-13 23:58:00 select the view you want using the right hand button in the toolbar.
then:
click on tools-folder options-view-apply to all folders

62274 2002-07-14 00:04:00 When you have My computer open, then in the toolbar next to the folders icon is the views icon. Click this then select the view you want (I think the view you are wanting is list but I'm not sure). When you have done that go to tools, folder options, view then click apply to all folders.

Hope this helps
