62140 2002-07-13 07:12:00 Just an update that my web site is coming together slowly, could I get some of you to try it out with different browsers if you have them. The likes of Netscape Navigator, opera, IE4 downwards, Mozillla.

I especially need to know if the java script date works in different browsers.

Computer Links (liquid2k.com)

Will be adding more categories and more links soon.

Thanks In advance.

62142 2002-07-13 09:13:00 Cool, thanks for taking the time to test it out. Sam H (525)
62143 2002-07-13 09:27:00 Looks good on MSIE#6 , No script errors, I take it you hand wrote it, found when it validates with (1) HTML tidy, (2) tidy from HTML-kit download from www.chami.com or go to http://validator.w3.org/ and drop you URL in there, then once there are no mistakes, this helps but still there a few things need to be checked out like, Netscape 4.x is the main one,

I just reinstalled windows 98 the other day, so I am still setting things up, and can not check with Netscape just now.

62144 2002-07-13 09:37:00 I can't take all credit for writing the script, I got it off the net but changed it slightly that is why I wanted to check it out. Sam H (525)
62145 2002-07-13 09:43:00 And thanks for taking the time to test it out.

Also thanks in advance to everyone else that tests it out.

62146 2002-07-13 11:19:00 Hey Sam (cool name),
Tried with Opera and looks very clean and tidy, although the green divider (where the date is) does not go right across the page like it does when I view using IE6. Not sure if that is a biggie because I wouldn't have known that it didn't look right until I viewed using IE. Also with Opera the links don't change colour when mouse hovers. Just wondering whether the 'Site of the week' link needs to be image or something. When I first saw it I thought that if was part of the main body text that was somehow right justified.

Looks good, keep up the good work.

62147 2002-07-13 11:25:00 Hey sam (it is a cool name isn't it)
Will work on a image for site of the week, did you actually mean an image or just the words 'site of the week' flashed up a bit like the tittle?

Working on one at the moment, will submit a couple in a few days so you guys can give your opinions.

62148 2002-07-13 11:33:00 Just tried it on Netscape 6.2 and it worked like a dream.

It is a good looking website I will keep an eye on it in the future.
Well done

62149 2002-07-13 11:34:00 Sorry did make my self clear.
What I meant that without actually reading any text and at first glance the words "site of the week" (top right, not bold text lower down) look like they should be part of the main body. Once I looked a little longer it was clear that it was a link. As you are already planning an image there then that wont be a problem once that is done.
