| 62219 | 2002-07-13 09:29:00 | I'm trying to completely uninstall Norton System Works but it doesn't want to go. It doesn't appear in the install/uninstall options in Windows and when I try to manually uninstall it I get screen warnings. Any ideas? |

I have tried in the past (and succeeded) in similar cases by deleting the program folder and then reinstalling, then uninstalling. But I'd be worried about trying this with Norton SystemWorks, given that it puts tenticles into all sorts of parts of your system.... |

Try this link (service2.symantec.com 202000/NT/Me/98/XP&stg=2&base=http://www.symantec.com/techsupp/nsys/&next=nsw_2002_pe_search_solve_install.html&sone=nsw_2002_pe_tasks.html&tpre=) to manually remove Systemworks. Beware there is a lot of work involved. | sam m (517) | ||

| 62226 | 2002-07-22 23:47:00 | You unistall norton then do a custom install without the bits you dont want in my case the defragmenter and the mirror imaging as i use goback which is far easier and more effective. Ontrack Fix-It is commercial program very good for tidying up the registry far better than norton 2002 actually . Also recommend PestPatrol to clean out trojans adware etc | kiwibeat (304) | ||
| 62227 | 2002-07-23 00:09:00 | >and the mirror imaging as i use goback what is the mirror imaging bit? are you meaning GHOST? or goback which comes with norton2002? |
