62587 2002-07-15 01:25:00 When rules take over your inbox.

I have just discovered that two emails from a trusted source have gone straight to the deleted items folder. They were both headed "Nelson Export Project" and I am wondering if it somehow saw the word "SEX" in the header (the combination of the S in Nelson and the EX in Export. I emailed myself with the same heading and it survived.

There were no other dodgy words in the email, mostly geek speak.

Not really sure what is going on. Has anyone else had problems like this?

62588 2002-07-15 02:12:00 was it being sent only to you, or were you part of a list of recipients? a lot of mail programs try to be pre-emptive by binning anything sent to multiple recipients, especially if all addresses are BCC'd or CC'd.. they seem to view it as spam... honeylaser (814)
62589 2002-07-15 02:16:00 you use outlook :O ?:| ;-) tweak'e (174)
62590 2002-07-15 03:12:00 I was the only recipient, not blind copied.
And yes, Tweak'e, I use Outlook (also use OE6 and Eudora for other things just to keep my eye in).

62592 2002-07-15 04:24:00 What the hells wrong with Outlook?

62593 2002-07-15 04:35:00 OK Baldy, we will play your game...what is wrong with outlook?
(Apart from the fact its Microsoft and targeted by every virus writer, bloated and lacks untuitive interfaces) Its actually great.

I don't use it for e-mail (though it has to be better than OE)

I use Eudora. Lightweight, easily configured, friendly interface, not targetted by as many cretins writing virii.

62594 2002-07-15 05:28:00 virii?? Never heard this used as the plural for virus! Capital (813)
62595 2002-07-15 05:44:00 The term Virii is well used on the web but not to my knowledge in the dictionaries....

The word "viruses" just doesnt roll off the tongue somehow, but words ending in vowels do.

62596 2002-07-15 06:13:00 Did you know formulae and formulas are both acceptable?
Sorry, off topic a little.
