| 63100 | 2002-07-17 03:57:00 | We've been on telly and radio before, even me once for 2 microseconds. Mr Keall does it quite regularly. How dare she call us PC Magazine! Is she on Moaning Report? robo. |

| 63101 | 2002-07-17 04:11:00 | Well, PC means either Politically Correct, or something. Magazines are storage places for explosives, or hold bullets for guns, or something. So you correctly keep your politics in a safe place. |

| 63102 | 2002-07-18 03:57:00 | And even if she didn't ask any really imaginative or sceptical questions, like: Could the suspect material on the school computers be a remnant from an inadequately erased hard disk, and have been acquired when that computer was in a former role outside a school? I have asked Mr John Thackray this and other questions, such as "what was actually found: complete images, or "evidence" of images? If so, what kind of "evidence", and could it have been subject to another interpretation?" I notice he's already backing down; it's gone from "There was child porn on every computer" to "there was child porn on some of the computers...but I'm really concerned about pornography in general". Wait for further watering down in subsequent media reports. And if he does manage to create enough of a moral panic to get all school computers scanned, guess who stands in front rank to get the contract? How much is that worth, Mr Thackray, and can you claim to be an entirely disinterested party? There was also, I notice "snuff"material. Strange Mr Thackray's seen that, when a 15-year investigation by the FBI failed to turn up a single provably genuine "snuff" movie or sequence of pictures. More likely the injuries, deaths were faked/dramatised, which would make it much like the daily TV and movie fare that our kids get soaked in anyway. Steve B. |
