| 63106 | 2002-07-16 20:07:00 | I noticed an auto update of Microsoft IE coming in. After this when I log on, as soon as my modem connects to the ISP the computer shuts down and restarts. Sometimes I get a "blue screen " windows error note. Otherwise the PC operates fine. I have done a scan of anti virus. System is Windows ME, the IE is version 5. Any clues ? |

| 63107 | 2002-07-16 21:29:00 | I would suggest you turn off "Auto Update" for a start It's caused me no end of trouble Microsoft doesn't seem to be always able to get the updates right first time. Can you uninstall the update through add/remove programs? You could also try reinstalling windows |
