63033 2002-07-16 08:41:00 running the latest NAV s/w on a WIN ME pc and has detected 12 files infected by HiGuy virus. NAV has repaired 6 of the 12 however access is denied to the other 6 infected files. They are stored in C:\_RESTORE\TEMP and are .cpy files. Even when going through DOS cannot delete these files - get Access is denied message. NAV cannot repair/delete or do anything. How do we get rid of the Higuy virus from these files before it does anymore damage???
Many thanks

63034 2002-07-16 09:49:00 Hey there, I did a search of the Symantec site and found this link that you may want to have a look at...

Cannot repair, quarantine, or delete a virus found in the _RESTORE or System volume information (service4.symantec.com)

Hope this helps you out.

63038 2002-07-17 08:17:00 Hi Murph

I had a virus in my Restore files a while ago, and managed to clear them by disabling System restore - and running NAV again.
