63309 2002-07-18 03:48:00 I have discovered heaps and heaps of zip files in windows temp. Can i really delete these? There is so many of them! Nearly all end in 11f4, 7121, 9144, etc under heading such as history and cookies .
Looks to me like a great waste of space .

63310 2002-07-18 04:15:00 Pretty much anything in your temp directory is safe to delete.
Run disk cleanup and it should clean most of them out.
If you're unsure if you should manually remove them you could move them to a "Temporary Storage" folder and see what doesn't work :-)

63311 2002-07-18 04:58:00 When you unzip a file, it uses windows temp to store the file temporarily. If you have extracted these to their rightful place at the time then you no longer need them godfather (25)
63312 2002-07-18 05:36:00 Thanks Capt Jimbo.
