| 63445 | 2002-07-19 01:28:00 | I'm having problems with my connection speeds. I have a Dell 433, about 2 years old, with a US Robotics 56k modem installed. When I first started on the internet (Zfree) the highest connection speed I got was 37000bps. I didn't mind this as the ISP was free. However I now belong to paradise and connecting at a constant 33600bps. I've taken the cpu to another location and connected, but only rose to about 36000 bps. Are there some settings in control panel or somewhere to change the speed? The setting in properties is set at 115000 something. Any help appreciated. Kerry |

For Win 95 98 ME Double-click on My Computer, then double-click on Dial-Up Networking. Right-click on the connection icon and choose Properties. Click the Configure button. Change maximum speed to 57600 Click the Connection tab. Click the Advanced button. In "Extra settings," delete all Click OK 3 times Shut down the computer and turn it back on to activate the changes. |
