63306 2002-07-18 12:10:00 mronhb,

Have you checked out the following: Parallel Port ATA Downloads (www.scmmicro.com)

From the Ephdw2k.zip file the following instructions:

================================================== =====
SCM MICROSYSTEMS PARALLEL PORT HARD DISK ADAPTER DRIVER
================================================== =====

Windows2000 and Windows XP Driver Installation Notes:

- With the PC turned off, first connect the parallel port device
and make sure it is up and running

- Boot to Windows, then the OS should automatically find the
new hardware and run the installation wizard

- Provide the location of the EPHDW2K.inf and EPHDW2K.SYS files

- The driver files will now be copied and the system may timeout
for a short while until the driver loading process has completed

- After all new hardware sub-devices have been detected and
installed, then the new drive should become accessible via a
drive icon in Explorer

--------------------
End of Installation.

Cheers, Babe.

63308 2002-07-19 06:09:00 Computer equipment appears at auctions for various reasons . The most common are: (1) been upgraded from, (2) replaced because it doesn't work .

A hard disk, or a CD, or a floppy sitting in a box rather than as part of a working computer is usually in category 2 .

External drives can be in either .

There is no guarantee on auction goods .

Sometimes, there are bargains . ;-)
