| 64096 | 2002-07-21 23:03:00 | I have four accounts on my new computer and the children want to use MSN messenger but when they log on (limited accounts) the computer programme freezes and says that no users are on this computer I don't really want them having to log on my account tpo be able to message their friends How do I make MSN messenger available on thier accounts? |

| 64097 | 2002-07-22 00:11:00 | I've never heard of that happening....I've got bros and sis who use msn messenger on my computer and when i sign out..they sign in and there doesnt seem to be a problem.. But theres also a different program that can run MSN if msn messenger keeps freezing.. go to www.downloads.com and search for trillian... it can run MSN/ICQ/AOL or AIM all at once.... So look at that if MSN messenger doesnt let u use other names as well |

Do you mean that they can log onto their limited accounts but when they try to use messenger this message comes up - that no users are on this computer? Or is this stopping them using their accounts in general? If xp - as you are probably aware, you will need to set it up for them first time around (messenger). As i said could you clarify the bit about if they can actually log in to their accounts. And i presume you are able to use messenger in your admin. account no problems? Is that the case ? If so and once again if xp it could be that limited accounts don't have access to messenger, as i am not at home on our xp and we only use the admin accounts for messenger i can't check, but think it is highly likely that non admin accounts don't have access to messenger if i remember right, so you may have to set up admin accounts for them so they can use messenger. Anyway get back to us on what system you are using and about the accounts and we may be able to advise further. |
