| 64250 | 2002-07-22 07:29:00 | A friend of mine's digital camera connector to his PC has been mishandled and pins on the DIN have broken off. I've been hunting all over to find a replacement for it. The camera is quite old and it's been hard tracking it down. This is the cable I am looking for www.thesupplynet.com It's a 9 pin female serial connector to 8 pin mini DIN connector. If anyone knows of anyone selling this item, store or 2nd hand (preferably in Auckland) could you please inform me. I'm sure a dodgy DIY would work with it but I'll do that as a last resort. |

| 64252 | 2002-07-23 06:56:00 | You might find that this is the same as an Apple Mac cable. Check the pinout, and compare it with the Apple ones. (A search on google using "macintosh pinout" should find those). I agree, the miniDin plugs are tricky to solder to --- it can be done, but it needs a fine tip soldering iron. | Graham L (2) | ||
