| 64253 | 2002-07-22 07:14:00 | Hi. I'm from Taranaki, it has just recently had 83% of its telephone exchanges upgraded to support Jetstream. Unfortunately, I'm connected to one of the 17% not upgraded :( I've heard that they might bring in a wireless internet available for the rest... Does any one no if this is true? Also, the company I heard was BCL (i don't no wot this stands 4) and was working with Telecom. I've emailed telecom and coucnil but they won't say anything :( So if u no anything.... cheers |

| 64259 | 2002-07-22 08:45:00 | Yep that was one not getting done. You could go for Ultra via Satellite. I have it and it is fast one way but a bit expensive. Can get rates downloading of up to 600KB/sec. Normally see it around 100-300KB/sec which is pretty good. | Big John (551) | ||
