| 64230 | 2002-07-22 06:30:00 | I quite like Living waterfalls, it's only a demo but the advertising for the full version is very unobtrusive. You can download it here (download.com.com) On the topic of screen savers, I saw one in a shop the other day and I didn't think to actually look to see what it was called. It was a black background with a whole lot of jumbled green text and numbers scrolling upwards, It looked like someone was hacking (not really but the sort of thing you see in movies). Does any body know what it's called or where I can get it? |

| 64233 | 2002-07-22 07:47:00 | Depends what you want. You can get programs that change your screensaver randomy or at preset intervals. There is a wide variety available. If you want a pet fish, do a search for 'MOPY fish'. I think he's still around somewhere. If you want a screensaver that plays music and displays beutifull moving things (can't really describe it), do a search for 'Geiss'. You may also be interested in a screensaver that lets you choose from a bunch of pictures and display them in a slideshow. Basically, if you can imagine it, it will be on the net somewhere. Personally, I set my screensaver to blank screen. Doesn't chew up the memory while I'm away, and when I come back, I can waggle the mouse and up pops my desktop. Mind you, have an old slow PC... |
