| 1307694 | 2012-10-19 22:40:00 | Hi, Just receive a file from my friend in zip format. Normally, after unzipping file in zip format there will be a folder with contain information of that file e.g. pdf etc. This time is really weird because there is no folder but only a file with type "file" . Is it file corrupted or there is another way to open it? Thanks a lot for advice |

You could try Shift-rightclicking the file and use the 'open with...' menu item. Or get your mate to tell you what the file is. |

Find out from your friend what program was used to create it and rename the file with the appropriate file extension. The other possibility is you don't have the program required to open the file |

Then put the extension in wolfgram alpha (www.wolframalpha.com) (if unfamiliar), then it will list software that can open the file type/extension. | kahawai chaser (3545) | ||
