1307421 2012-10-18 04:14:00 Hi.

I persistently get spam from certain addresses and have had no luck using either the Junk Email or Rules settings in Outlook 2007. For some reason the spam still gets through even though the senders' addresses haven't changed. Contacting Microsoft technical support was useless. Anyone got any ideas on what I can do? Are there any free anti spam applications that I can download. I want something that will let me specify which email addresses I want to block.

Thanks

1307422 2012-10-18 05:24:00 Mail Washer (http://www.mailwasher.net/) theres a free and a paid version.Used the paid one for years, works well, you can tell it what to let through and what to block. wainuitech (129)
1307423 2012-10-18 06:50:00 Could you not just add the sender to your blocked senders list. Bobh (5192)
1307424 2012-10-18 09:06:00 I just made a rule and it worked. That's what I did to one email address. When it comes thru, I made a rule to delete it Speedy Gonzales (78)
1307425 2012-10-18 20:01:00 Tried that and it doesn't work :-( Podmon (12416)
1307426 2012-10-18 20:03:00 I did that but it didn't work. Contacted Microsoft technical support and, bizarrely, was told that the rules don't always work (!). Podmon (12416)
1307427 2012-10-18 20:04:00 Thanks Wainuitech - I'll give Mail Washer a go. Podmon (12416)
1307428 2012-10-19 06:53:00 I have used Mail Washer for years. You make your own filters and friend/black lists. You can also preview the mail without downloading it and delete the spam on the server. I use it with 4 mail accounts, shows what mail is there and what server it is on.
I do not use Spam assassin as "one man's spam is another man's required document". It is also a 'Kiwi' program.
