1283983 2012-06-26 08:34:00 So, it starts with a heads up, food is ready.

sweet, I hit the kitchen/dining area, I'm told that there is soup.

sweet, Big fan of soup.

I see a bowl, literally a bowl, full of soup, I ask, Is that for me to serve my soup out of or is that my serving of soup?

I'm told, its yours, take it, eat it.

sweet.

I eat the soup, As i finish it I say, Thanks, that was great soup and i ask what it is?

Oh, Its a 600ml can of spring vegetable soup, but the trick is to add equal amounts of full cream milk.

***. 1.2 liters and half of that is cream

Anyhow, I'm rinsing the bowl, I'm heading back out and get a wait a minute, That's just the first part...

Ok...

I get a "are you hungry?" before the world biggest omelette is smashed down on a plate like a dead seal in a wheelbarrow and presented to me.

I start to get into it, I'm told, It may not look like it, but it should fill you up, but if it doesn't....

I say, slow down their nellie, How many eggs are in this omelette?

Thats a 9 egg omelette, 2 tomatoes, a full stack of bacon and a big chunk of cheese, No onion though, I couldn't find the onions

***.

So, I try, and I fail, The pain and discomfort becomes too great, and I put just the tail end of it in the bin.

And as I do I get, Desert will be a few minutes , You've got half an apple pie and a choice between chocolate ice cream or stawberry, Plue we have an ice-cream cake we need to get through.

1283987 2012-06-26 09:49:00 Yeah mate, just one bit more, a wafer-thin-mint.

It could be worse. I have to pay McD's, KFC, Buger King to kill me that way. You're getting it (the food ;) ) at home and for free.

1283988 2012-06-26 10:02:00 Ah, I'm not at home, and there is a cost. (and if were at my home It would be costing me a huge amount)

Last nights meal was much the same, I ate my way down a huge stack of food only to discover the a layer of steak covering the entire plate.

When offered desert I took the chocolate ice cream option as the pie was a long time being ready, Only to get a knock on the door 45 minutes later and I get handed a huge plate of pie covered with another huge serving of ice cream.

I've had to have a talk to them about these portions.

1283991 2012-06-26 10:39:00 I knew a guy in Greytown that was as skinny as a rake that would make mince meat of that.:yuck:
At the Workies one night he not only had one meal that would have had me stumped but two and then desert and after that he was near the bar scoffing cheese and biscuits.

So where is this job where they supply such a good trough Metla.
