1283467 2012-06-23 00:32:00 ST . JOHNS (Arizona, US) — Deputy Albert Clark and his canine partner Hammer stopped a Ford Expedition on Interstate 40 near Sanders on June 14 for a traffic violation .

Obtaining permission (huh?) from the male driver to search the vehicle, Clark found a small amount of marijuana and heroin, along with drug paraphernalia .

Searching the cargo area, Clark found three duffel bags containing $460,974 .

Hammer (the drug sniffing dog) alerted on the bags which means they were tainted with the smell of drugs .

The 'probable cause' for the original stop isn't cited, but it could have been a loose license plate, a cracked windshield or a failure to signal a turn . OK - that's all well-n-good .

But then we get to the 'permission' part of the search of the vehicle that the driver gave . That was somewhere below whale excrement on Darwin's evolutionary scale of who's gonna survive this round and begat another litter .

Then - actually having dope AND bags of money in the same vehicle really smacks of this guy's elevator not going above the first floor .

And further - now he loses the grass (a few dollars) the heroin (maybe a couple of hundred bucks) the crack pipe and bong (maybe $50 . 00 if they weren't home made) and THEN he loses the vehicle because it's transporting drugs (figure on a minimum of $2500 . 00 for any decently running vehicle with 4WD) .

Car gone! Never gonna see that car again!

So far - a measly $3K or so down the crapper .

Then there's the bags of pocket change to the tune of almost half a million USD . Was this guy sampling his own wares?
