1283192 2012-06-21 05:48:00 This was a surprise when I logged into my Fuel Card to check the current prices! A whole week and was there any murmur from the media of this???

BP Ultimate
$2.159

BP 95
$2.079

BP 91
$1.999

Diesel
$1.439

Not that it mtters much as my fleet is Diesel and 95 octane runners now anyways. It was a surprise though to see 95 that cheap given the local servo was charging $2.341 for 95. Ripe pickings from the ski bunnies :2cents:

So glad get discounted fuel.

1283193 2012-06-21 06:11:00 Agreed!

All hell breaks loose when the prices go up, but prices go down and there's barely a murmur ..

1283194 2012-06-21 06:32:00 Quite interesting the difference now between 91 /95/98

Use to use BP Ultimate( as I had a vehicle that could make use of it) as there use to be a 6/8 cent premium ,now it's stretched to 16 cents and stopped using it a long time ago then they dropped 95 (in Tauranga) so I don't go there anymore

Gull of late has been getting my $$ for fuel

There have been a series of petrol price reports on Stuff and on Radio over the last few weeks. 91 now under $2!!! Whoopee $1.999. I think they would try $1.9999 if they could :D

1283196 2012-06-21 07:46:00 Damn!!! I filled my car a few days ago before the price dropped. Bobh (5192)
1283197 2012-06-21 07:49:00 Would not have saved much. If a 40L tank at a 10c savings that's just $4. A few days what was that .. 4c? Nomad (952)
1283198 2012-06-21 07:59:00 The biggest surprise for me is that price change I was reading came into effect on the 14th June!

www.ruralfuel.co.nz

So that is going to be the price on my invoicing. An unexpected bonus of spending less than you think you have. That said still got a 35c voucher I intend to use on the diesel vehicle when I go into town next saved $33 on that last fill up :)

But like I said lthe local servo is charging 26c more than the new price until they get another delivery. Catch 22 for an independantly run site during what was the quite period pre ski season.

1283199 2012-06-21 08:46:00 That annoyed me a bit this morning when they spoke to some guy from BP saying they were the first to lower the prices this morning to $1.99.9.
If that's true howcome the Mobil in Whangarei was at $1.99.9 yesterday while the BP was at $2.05.9?
Passed a Caltex this afternoon and their price was $1,96.9 for 91 octane.

Wouldn't worry about it, it's likely to go up again.
So did I.

Down the road now:
91 = $1.95
Diesel = $1.38

1283201 2012-06-21 10:14:00 It is amazing that we should be pleased to only pay a pound for less than a quart of benzine.

Spare a thought for those poor unfortunates for whom these will be the good old days. ;)
